Martin Alvarado is generally regarded as the most significant contemporary tango singer in Argentina and even considered one of the finest vocalists in tango history. He has been referred to as the "voice of 21st-century tango" and "the best voice of Buenos Aires." He has performed on various stages and television shows in Europe, Asia, and South America.
In 2013, Alvarado's concert was awarded at the Latin UK Awards gala in England. Music from Alvarado's albums is played daily on Buenos Aires radio channels, and his voice and stage charisma have even been compared to the 1930s tango superstar Carlos Gardel.
