Haavisto studied at the University of Stavanger, at the Institute of Music and Dance, where he graduated with a master's degree in Performing Music and Jazz Improvisation in 2016. Nowadays, he is recognized for his fretless bass playing, compositions in jazz fusion and world music fusion, and skillful improvisations. Jukka can be booked as a solo artist or with his band, as a session musician for studio work, or as a performer for concerts and tours in Finland, Scandinavia, and Europe. Additionally, private bass lessons can be arranged in his studio or through Zoom.
