Ismaila Sané is a Senegalese-born percussionist, singer, African ballet soloist, choreographer and teacher. Sané lived in Spain from 1981 to 1999 and since 1999 has been based in Finland.
In Finland, Sané is known not only for his solo career but also for his involvement in the bands Senfi, Galaxy, and Piirpauke. In Spain, he has been part of bands like Global Percussion, Baba Djembe, and Mbalax. Ismaila Sané's newest band, Saïsba, is a multicultural and multinational lineup, whose energetic, life-pulsating music is rich with elements from all corners of the world.
